GULFSTREAM UNVEILS THE WORLD’S LARGEST PRIVATE JET, THE G700

Recently, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. reported that the Gulfstream G700 achieved the 2020 Global Yacht & Aviation Awards in the aircraft’s all-new seat configuration. The 2018 Gulfstream G500 and Gulfstream G600 got the same prestigious award.

Gulfstream has delivered some of the most powerful — and jaw-dropping — business jets in aviation history, and its latest aircraft is here to outshine them all. The new G700, which was first introduced in October 2019, officially has the longest, widest and tallest cabin in the industry (at nearly 57 ft, more than six ft tall and over eight ft wide) — the record was previously held by the Bombardier Global 7500.

After its first flight earlier this year, it was confirmed that the G700 is the most spacious business jet in the industry, and it has the longest range at the fastest speeds. The G700’s two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines power the aircraft to speeds of up to Mach 0.925, and all-new winglets help reduce drag while in the air.

But it’s not just about how fast your trip is; you need to get there in style, and Gulfstream isn’t one to skip the creature comforts. The G700 aircraft has 20 panoramic oval windows and up to five living spaces. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, there is ample space to entertain: An ultra-galley in front has 10 ft of counter space, plus a (very) spacious refrigerator, conventional oven, ample storage for tableware and a three-seat divan.

Other details that enhance the flying experience include speakerless surround sound designed in collaboration with Bongiovi and ultra-high-definition circadian lighting (goodbye, jet lag!) that can actually emulate sunrise and sunset. The cherry on top, of course, is the master suite with an en-suite lavatory that includes a private shower, vanity and spacious storage closet for long-haul flights.

Saint Hotel is situated in a panoramic location in the famous town of Oia on the Greek island of Santorini.

A cluster of former homes, barns, and cellars have been turned into an extraordinary hotel with rooms in caves. The boutique hotel is located among a strip of buildings that form the edge of the village. Saint Hotel seemingly flows down the cliff by the sea. Each level has unobstructed views of the island’s volcanic bay.

The exclusive hotel offers 16 suites that open onto private
terraces with pools and loungers that are separated by bright white walls. The
interiors match the all-white exteriors, with the smooth walls of the caves
finished in white plaster. The rooms are decorated with austere and minimal
fittings. Pieces of amorphous furniture, such as seating pods with hinged lids
and circular sunshades, give the spaces a serene feel.

The Sacred Spa is an all-inclusive area featuring a Hammam, a steam room, and a Jacuzzi along with many more amenities. Guests can enjoy everything from a deep tissue massage to a facial or exclusive full body treatment.

At the Trinity Restaurant, the chefs concentrate on upscale local tastes with a twist. Since meals are a ritual at Saint Hotel only the freshest, high-quality ingredients are being used. The majestic views of Santorini’s famous volcano adds to the experience while dining. Outside the restaurant’s guests can expect everything from a fancy breakfast in bed or a midnight gourmet snack with Champagne.
